Library Media Program Information

Kindergarten and Grade 1: one book/one week

Grades 2-5: two books/two weeks

All students receive weekly access to the library for self-selection of independent reading materials. Students will visit the library with their class during their literacy instructional time. Our hours are from 7:30 AM - 3:15 PM each school day. 

GCPS policy states that lost or damaged book issues must be resolved before circulation privileges can be restored. The book fine for a lost or damaged book is $15.00. Fines can be paid on MyPaymentsPlus this school year. Fines will appear in the fee section of MyPaymentsPlus. If the book is found after the fine has been paid, a refund request will be submitted to the bookkeeper. 

Fines are assessed based on the severity of the damage to the book. Most of our issues are caused by water bottle spills, pets, and younger siblings. Thanks for your support in helping our students learn proper book care. Please contact the library staff if you have any questions about circulation procedures.

Beanstack is a school-wide incentive program designed to motivate students with fun, diverse, and engaging reading challenges and activities. The goal of the program is for students to develop a consistent habit of reading as we build a culture of reading at Woodward Mill.

Login: GCPS student number (9-digit number)

Password: MMDD (4-digit birthday month and date)

Beanstack can be accessed on the web or by downloading a mobile app. Once logged in, students will be able to locate their challenge and begin to log their reading minutes. Refer to the video below to help you navigate the Beanstack platform. If you have questions about Beanstack, contact the library staff. 

GCPS: How to log in on Beanstack (for students)

On the Browser:

1. Go to Launchpad
2. Click on Library Resources.
3. Click on Beanstack.

On the App:

1. Download the Beanstack app. 
2. Search for your school.
3. Type in your credentials.
   1. Username: your student number
   2. Password: Four digit birthdate, i.e. mmdd
   3. For example, if my birthday is February 4, my 4 digit birthdate would be 0204.

The Branch Out program enables students access to high-quality, digital resources provided by the Gwinnett County Public Library. All students are enrolled into the program, and students can use these databases and ebooks at school and at home. 

Students use their GCPS nine-digit student number as their username/library card number when prompted to login. The PIN/password is the birth month and date, in the MMDD format, of the student. For example, if the student birthday is January 1, the PIN/password will be 0101. Contact the library staff if you have questions about this collaboration.
